PLUS – A negative test result allows you to use the services of a hair salon or, in the future, to visit other shops or services, as soon as they reopen.

The wide range of tests offered by the City of Vienna is thus complemented by the easy and convenient possibility of home tests.

Starting from now, all people who live or work in Vienna have the possibility of taking regular, free-of-charge PCR mouth rinse/gargle tests for COVID-19. If you hand in your sample before 9 a.m., you will receive the result within a period of 24 hours.

The project

Regular testing makes us safe.

Regular testing makes sure that persons who have tested positive for COVID-19 can be quarantined as early as possible. This helps us to protect ourselves as well as the people around us.

With your barcode, you can pick up a maximum of five test sets per month free of charge in all BIPA shops in Vienna. Get tested regularly! You can either gargle or rinse your mouth with the saline solution.

Then hand in your PCR gargle test sample easily on a daily basis at any REWE outlet in Vienna (BILLA, BILLA PLUS, BIPA and PENNY), from several ÖBB train stations – Wien Hauptbahnhof/Vienna Central Station, Wien Meidling as well as at the petrol station shops of BP , JET, SHELL, ENI & OMV. If you hand in your sample before 9 a.m., you will receive the result via email within a period of 24 hours.

You can continue to get tested with Alles Gurgelt! If you register, you will receive a new barcode every month, and with it you can pick up your 5 test sets per month at every BIPA shop in Vienna. If you still have test sets at home, you can keep using those, but you can only drop off five per month.

The test certificate serves as an entry test according to the 3G, 2.5G and as part of the 2G Plus rules. This allows you, depending on the most recent decree, to go to restaurants, gyms, and to attend cultural events.

  6. You will receive your result via email within a period of 24 hours if you hand in your sample before 9 a.m. The samples are picked up at the REWE outlets twice a day (between 9 a.m. and noon as well as between 2 and 5 p.m.).

If you hand in your sample before 9 a.m., you will receive the result via email within a period of 24 hours.

You can retrieve your test result at any time

You can retrieve your test result at any time via the WebApp by going to lead-horizon.org/public and logging in to your personal customer account. Your negative medical lab report will allow you e.g. to use the services of a hair salon or, in the future, to visit other shops or services; moreover, a negative medical lab report also serves as a certificate to enable you to cross national borders (however, this is only possible if you have agreed to do a video recording of you while performing the test).
